I did this pretty lady a while back for St. Patric day. Very much enjoyed using color on her, seems like she tuned out to look very organic. Also she has a Bitcoin sing incorporated in her hat ;))) Supplies: watercolor, ink, pencil, white gel pen

here i am trying out new things. in this case my first tries on painting portraits with gouache. Not to brag, but it doesn't look bad for the first-time gouache user =) I have to say i really enjoyed working with it. I do like the heavy feel gouache has comparing to watercolor. And i love very much black and white sharpness. MB because color are much more difficult to work with? Mb because sometimes they seem like a bit too much? Mb cause black is just very comforting and one can never go wrong using it? The color of mystery that leaves room for imagination. How do you feel about black and white art? God damn, i don't even remember when was the last time i updated this place. But I'm back on and got some new pictures of art to share.
With a lot of changes in my life and a lot of time that i can dedicate to reading and drawing i find it very hard for me to find my own style. So what u are going to see here r desperate attempts of a wondering human who feels very much lost to find herself in this HUGE sea of techniques and styles. i mean - it seems absolutely impossible! But i figured that only trying new things will help me figure out what is right for me. And you are more then welcome to enjoy my confusion ;) |
